problems on set up

Pushing on the dish at any specific sat is not giving me any better signals, I have tried that.
If the motor is off slightly, I would get better signal only on the sats that are closest to my true south. The further I go either east or west, I will be further off of the arc, and this seems to be what I am experiencing.

Giovanni,

Here is a nice pictoral of satellite arc errors and what causes them.

What I am going to do is see what the signal strength is on just about every sat I can get, and then try and compare the results to the chart you have supplied.

It is diffucult to tell without actual results.
I know that the strongest sat is 79W at about the 65-70% mark.
Then drops off as I go east and west.
Do we know which sat on that chart is 79W?

When and where to scan?

I think my motor took a dump.
