I recently purchased a DP34 switch for my dish, I was able to figure out how to install but I cannot make my 811 reciever to work with it. The dual truner reciever I have works fine when connected, both satellite signals are good, but in the 811 reciever only satellite 119 is good, the other one shows as connected but no transmission. Am i using the wrong switch in this casE? the only reason why I got the dp34 is because a DishNetwork rep told me that's what I needed. Help!!

I am assuming you did a check switch. Did you try another output on the switch going to the 811? Maybe you need to recrimp the connectors on that line.

I tried another output, I thought it would have something to do with the cabling and I also tried that too. I performed a checkswitch, and it keeps giving me that same result: "Conn" and when I go to the system info I see that sat 119 is green and 110 is "connected but no signal"(or something like that). Do I need any additional equipment for this to work?

Did you try putting the 811 line into one of the working dual tuner outs on the switch and see if it corrects it? This is odd. I am assuming the lnb's are correct for the sw34.

this might help......

Try clearing the switch matrix by performing a check switch without the satellite/switch feed connected. After it detects "no switch" reconnect the in feed and try it again.

There is no such thing as an "sw34," the OP correctly identified his as a DP34. SW## designates a legacy switch. Verifying the DP34 is hooked up to DP LNBs is a good idea but I doubt that's the issue since the dual tuner receiver isn't having a problem.

Can't get the Voom yet, so when?

Help! my 942 is stuck at acquring 61.5/transponder 7!!!
