Similar situation here only I'm trying to go VS Extreme to Ecoda 22Khz Switch with the OFF leg going to a motor then DiSEqC (one leg Linear, one leg Circular - Envicom QH-031), the ON leg goes to DiSEqC then two Circulars (they are the old Dish/DirectTV type) on a seperate fixed dish.

I understand the Ecoda will pass motor data, but when I install the Ecoda (tried two) I get nothing from any LNB. Tried other cheap 22KHz switch and the OFF leg works (though I didn't try and drive the motor), but the ON leg never works. In the VS I set the fixed dish birds to 22KHz ON, and correct DiSEqC port, and the motorized dish LNBs are left alone at their normal 22KHz OFF setting using USALS (although set to INSTALLER since the VS USALS is way off).

Any ideas what is going on?

Can't add URLs yet, but I have a graphic at amerithai.cxx/temp/setup.jpg

broke off to new thread

its possible the Viewsat cant work with the motor with the switch in line..some boxes may not be able to do that

If Ice is right, isn't this still possible with your receiver?...

Receiver ---- motor ---- diseqc ---- your four LNBs

You only named four LNBs, so use a 4 port diseq switch and forget the ecoda.

Also, I am uncomfortable running motor power through a switch, especially when there is an obvious work-around.

Does your diseqc switch still work?
They are kind of delicate and can be blown when connecting to equipment with power on.

yep that works fine anole

I use to have

receiver---motor----diseqc---4 LNB's
port 1 waqs KU
port 2 was DBS
port 3 was Universal (for 58W)
port 4 was C-Band

until the system got overhauled
