Anyone work with Homeplug adapters like this for network connectivity? I would think this would be preferred versus wireless bridge. Some provide 500 Mbps service.
Also, related to conversation on other threads saying Joey can operate without coax (although not officially supported by DISH) - would 500 Mbps suffice for quality video over network? What about 200 Mbps homeplug?
I will confirm all joey's will work with CAT5 only. It will default to coax everytime if it is plugged up too. I am using 85mbps homeplug adapters at all my locations and they work pretty well. There is some spotty parts where picture quality drops or it freezes. I think that is because I have a VERY cheap switch at my router and I am using slower homeplug adapters. I do think it would work a lot better with faster on higher bandwidth homeplug adapters as it would allow more bandwidth internally.
ps. I am using coax until I get my Joey to work right with sound. Then I will be moving everything over to CAT6 as soon as I get the house wired with CAT6 and all my gig equipment installed. Then it will all be networked.
