Possible scam

Mods if this is in the wrong section please move to the correct one. As alot of you know I have had a hard time mapping my DSR 920. So I went looking for a bigger dish than my 1.2 mini bud. I came across a six footer with a fixed mount on fleabay brand new for $110 and $50 dollars shippinf from a company called International Buisnness Trade out of Miami.Well I bought it and now I know why fleabay s*cks. I paid by paypal got a confirmation of payment recieved and now ten days later have no dish or tracking number. When I call there number I am instructed to e-mail Stephane@IBT.***. I get a return e-mail saying I will have a tracking number by 11 AM on Tuesday. Tuesday night no tracking nuber and I send a e-mail to him asking what happened. Guess what no more responce to my e-mails and still no tracking number on Wensday at 6PM. So buyer beware if you come across this seller of satellite equipment. By the way I am only about 90 miles from Miami so it is not likely in transit. Fed ex ground distibution is at Palm Beach International which is only 30 miles from here.

Go after 'em comptech....I'd google the business name, complain to ebay, paypal, ripoffreport.com, the state attorney general's office, the BBB and anybody else I could
think of. I know its hard to get stuff during the holidays, sometimes, but this isn't sounding

Give it a little more time but, if you look around in on ebay it tells you what you can do. Paypal will reimburse up to $200 if you have to go that route. I think you have like a max of 45 days. Don't quote me on that. If all else fails you can do a chargeback with your credit card company. That should be your last resort though. Here is the link where you can read some of their policys.

Ive got one just as bad with fleapay.
I bought a new Coolsat on a very late night middle of week type auction.
It was one of those too good to be true endings so I paid right away thru paypal.
I also immediately emailed the seller asking them to get it in the mail right away as it was a present for someone and B day was in about a week.
Shouldnt have been a problem as the auction said they send them out by priority mail.
The next afternoon I get an email from ebay saying the seller filed for an unpaid item
and wanted the fees revoked.
WT#F I just paid it thru paypal.
I checked my paypal account and there was a refund for exact amount I paid.
Then this scumbag files an unpaid item dispute with ebay on me.
He then emails me and tells me he refunded my money because it couldnt be shipped right away as I asked for.
I emailed back and said no games I want the item and if it takes a week longer then OK.
I never did get the item and the unpaid dispute is still hanging,Paypal and ebay are worthless to try and make sense of this.
So if the auction ends with a price thats too good to be true it most likely is.
Bad part is if I leave negative feedback this scumbag will retaliate and do the same for me.
Ebay is all about being honest
Too bad some ruin it for everyone.

Hi,

If you shop on eBay, I recommend you check the following about the seller BEFORE bidding and buying and item:

1- Check the seller's feedback rating, specially recent feedbacks.
2- Check how long the seller has been selling on eBay.
3- If it is too cheap and a Buy It Now item, beware, it could be a scam or a bad product.

Now regarding your 6ft dish order, I don't understand why the seller would tell you that he is going to ship, but does not. It could be that the product is out of stock, but he should tell you that.

We just ran out of stock on 6ft dishes ourselves and have a few orders waiting to be processed. But we try our best to inform the customer so that they feel at ease.

Good luck with your purchase. Give the seller a little more time before you proceed with filing a dispute. If he has good feedback, he may have a good excuse for the delay.

As I recall, they sent out an email in the past few weeks that he was out of the office. Maybe his staff is letting him down ...... too bad!

Thank you that is reassuring. The thing that tees me off is that stephane promissed me a tracking number by eleven AM that day and never got it. Then when i mailed him back asking were it was I still have not had a reply. Like Sandoun said if it is out of stock just let me know.

Good news Stephane called me today to explain what happened. He was out of town and thinks his employee's dropped the ball somewhere. He reassured me it has been shipped and will provide me with a tracking number tomorrow. Hopefully I will get the number and all will be good. He was very apologetic and seem sincere.The only thing that sucks is I have this weekend off and will not get another day off till cristmas to set the dish up!

Glad to hear you've been assured by Stephane that the order has been shipped. I find that working on my FTA at night has it's advantages, maybe you should give night tinkering a try? Better than waiting till Christmas....? Good Luck!

Good news,the dish showed up today! I got it assembled,tomorrow morning off to get a pipe to mount it on. By the way can i use the normal sat calculators for a prime focus dish? I have some for offset but I think elevation will be different for the prime focus. If you have any good ones could you post a link or PM me. Thanks again Comptech

yes the numbers are the same. Just the way the dish looks is true...so 45 degrees looks like 45 degrees, not 23
