My position numbers for C-Band go from 1 on 58w to 30 on 121W.
KU - I would think there would be a conflict to use the same numbers
for KU. Maybe position number 50 on 58w through 80 on 121w.
Is this correct?
Thanks for any help.

The single or multiple use of a DiSEqC motor assignment number is a function of the receiver.

The DiSEqC 1.2 motor assignment numbers may be used multiple times if your receiver supports this function. Some receivers only allow a DiSEqC 1.2 motor assignment number to be saved for multiple satellites, while other receivers only allow a DiSEqC 1.2 motor assignment number to be saved to a single satellite.

I have been using even numbers for C-band and odd numbers for Ku, simply because position "1" is 30W, the only Ku one that I can't reach with USALS. Didn't know some receivers could use one number for more than one satellite position. Interesting. Learn a new thing every day I guess... and the day just started! :)

Thanks guys for responding.
Since I don't know what the Linkbox 9000i will or won't do, I'll try to experiment with 1 sat on KU.

Thanks Armadillo,
I got the same results with my little test on the Linkbox 9000i.
Also on 97w. It definitely will not accept 2 different numbers.

Maybe I misunderstand, but my LinkBox will allow different numbers as well. I had both 97W C and 97W Ku on # 23. I switched 97W Ku to # 54 to test it. No problem.

I use a cheap VBox rather than an ASC1.Maybe that makes a difference.

Anyone in the Portland area that can help me with a C band alignment?
