Used your Long and Lat, here is what I came up with(assuming a 40deg Motor):
Motor: 28.5 (your Lat)
Dish Angle: 35.3 (40deg minus Decin Angle: 40 - 4.7)
Your True South Sat is Nimiq2 @ 82 west. You said you had the Invacom Quad, for setup connect to the "C" Port and in the receiver in the Sat Setup Menu for Nimiq 2, set the LNB LO to:
11250.
#1 - Pole is plumb
#2 - Mount motor and set angle to 28.5(do not completly tighten just snug, for adjustments)
#3 - Mount Dish and set to 35.3(scale on dish usually not accurate)
#4 - Set up receiver, enter Long and Lat for USALS(make sure you set for West!)
#5 - Set up receiver, go to Sat setup menu, selecet Nimiq 2(TruSouth Sat) enter 11250 for the L.O.
At this point you should have Signal but No quality. Signal just lets you know the LNB has power.
Now aim the whole Dish / Motor South, 187deg using a Compass. Nimiq 2 is a powerful sat, should be easy to find. Remember, when aiming do not "Drive" the motor to fine tune.
Once you have the Nimiq 2 located, you need to select another sat as far east / west as you can see. I would pick Echo7 @ 119west. It is also a Powerful Sat and uses the same setup as Nimiq2(LO = 11250) Let the receiver "Drive" the Dish from Nimiq2 over to Echo7.
Check your Quality, when you have good Q, the receiver should show what sat you are pointed at, thats why I like to setup using the Circular Sats.(this only applies to Nimiq2, Nimiq1, And the Echostar Sats)
Once the receiver can drive from Sat to Sat and Lock good Q, you can switch to Linear Sats, remember to change the connection at the LNB to the "L" port.
