Hello,

I'm planning a new FTA system and think I have decided on the following:

Coolsat 4000 Pro Receiver
Winegard DS2076 Dish
Staab HH-90 Motor
Invacom OPH-031 LNBF (when available)

Please tell me if I'm on the right track!

I do have a couple of questions:

1. Will the HH-90 mate right up to the Winegard dish without modification?
2. Will the new Invacom really be the only LNBF I will need?
3. I have a clear view from due south to nearly North/Northwest.
(I am in Central Pennsylvania)
Are there any satellites east of south (don't know how else to say it!)
that I would or be able to pick up "if" I had a clear view in that direction?

Thank you very much. I had a "ton" of questions when I started but got most
answered by reading all the posts first!

Hello and welcome to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum :wave

Give us your zip code and will will show you all the satellites you can expect to see from your area!

I am not sure that motor will work with the Winegard, have a look here........

The Invacom QPH-031 will work great for all KU and DBS satellites, good idea!

Hi Pete!

Thanks for the reply. I've read a number of your other posts.

Thr reason I picked that rotor is because Staab, I guess, is the creator
of USALS and alot of other rotors don't "seem" to explicitly state they
are "USALS" compliant. If you have another suggestion, I'm all ears.

Oh, I'm in zipcode 17111

Thanks!

Mark

I like and use the SG2100 motor it is 100% compatible with USALS, I have installed most of the other motors but I will be sticking with the SG2100, its a solid unit and works a treat, it has NEVER missed a beat. The only flaw is that the threads on the clamps/U-bolts often strip when over tightened : )

The HH90 will fit the Winegard. From the Sadoun site:

http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/STAB/HH90-Stab-HH-Diseqc-USALS-Motor.htm

Antenna support diameter 42 mm (1 5/8")

The specs that concern me are:

Maximum antenna diameter 95 cm (37")
Maximum antenna weight 10 Kg (22 lbs)

This motor seems a bit 'light duty' as compared to the SG2100. Be advised that there are several flavors of the SG2100 floating around as well. I think the DMSi one has the better warranty. I have a Moteck which looks just like the DMSi (box and all!).
