Oh, I thought it was just me!
Maybe due to running a HOSTS file which blocks certain advertizing sites.
But re-trying three times just now, it actually -did- load the picture!

note the "exteno-pole" on the 2nd motorized. That was due to the roof and needing to clear it

Well guys, here's my one dish "farm" lol
Included are pictures of my dish from various angles, my computer "shack" (aptly named, btw) and The Fortec receiver on top of the 35" Panasonic TV and the DVD Player/VCR..

It probably has at times, especially on 123-125-129 Sats, but not as much as you might think...I am hearing there may be issues with White Springs staying on 129..The problem I really want to solve is AMC 9 on 83 .At times the quality stays above 30, other times as low as 25 with some breakup..But others have the same issues with AMC 9..Would love to get 40 or above on AMC 9, then if it goes down a little, its not as much of an issue..
Do you have enough cable ties on that C band dish?

I have a winegard 7.5' but the pole mount part is missing, it was taken down by a tree. I don't think it hurt the dish but the lnb struts were trashed, i have found out
what the focal length is so i can build new struts. But it's going to be tough to aim it without a mount.
I am looking for another mesh BUD though.
Not much of a dish "farm", but it works for me. I am finally back up and running after a 6 month FTA hiatus (the dust finally settled from my move from MD to NC).
Got my motorized set-up in place at my new house - replaced the Primestar 84E with the 70E to be more HOA friendly...
Painted it black just because I thought it would look cool...:up

Nice setup chuck, and that's a first for me, never knew they made a 70, learn something new every day! Good paint job too.

Yeah, the 70E was a dish I spotted on a gas station roof - measures only 33x25, but pulls in signal strengths only slightly below my old 84E set-up.

80cm Fortec on 123º
180cm Fortec on 121º
90cm 3ABN on HH-90 - 74º to 129º
90cm Fortec on HH-120 - 74º to 129º
87cm ADTH on 83º
180cm Fortec on 99º
and in the background, an 8 foot Paraclypse is waiting on me to scrounge a NPRM. Or maybe there's a way to set it up without laying a whole mess of concrete in my landlords yard.
The other pic is a ready-to-use multiswitch setup I have been working on. It's not the prettiest, but it crams a lot of stuff in a small space on a scrounged board.
Instead of using four separate 1A power supplies inside and then running four RG-6 cables to power the switches outside, I'm planning to use a 5A 24V power supply inside connected to a custom junction box on the board. There will be ferrite beads on each end of the power wires for RFI mitigation and three fewer penetrations in the door.
Dang. Wonder if I might be creating a ground loop... Old house, hot and common, no ground on AC power....
