Paramount +

I just wanted to say thank you, due to your and Ronnie’s praise of the Apple TV, decided to purchase and have been using for the last week.

And extremely happy that I did, noticed an improvement in both Video and Audio quality, the remote is not as good as the Roku, but for the increased quality, I can put up with it.
You are welcome. You will get used to the remote. Takes some time. If you don't like the track pad you can disable it in settings but it is quite useful once you get used to it. Especially the "use a circular gesture on the outer ring to find just the scene you're looking for". It is great but not all apps support it. The majority of people will never find out just how good it is due to their hatred of Apple anything. Their loss though.

First thing I disabled was the Trackpad feature. It's far too sensitive.

I still like the Firestick remote of all the devices I've tried - a button for every major feature without going overboard like a cable/satellite remote. I like the AppleTV and Roku about the same. I wish Roku didn't have the volume buttons on the side, and I wish the AppleTV didn't use the same button for different functions (double-clicking and holding to do things). The Shield remote was nice, and I liked being able to reprogram buttons, but it just felt odd in my hand.

There are certain features I couldn't get to work with the Function 101 remote, such as swiping left to bring up the side menu on F1TV, but otherwise, it worked well. The same applies for this one which is IR only, so you need line of sight to the AppleTV:

I have mine set to Click Only as well. You can actually control the sensitivity a bit by going to Touch Surface Tracking while in Click and Touch setting. From there you can set to Fast, Medium, Slow.
