Paramount Delays First HD-DVD Titles

I've heard June 20, but not positive.

They weren't titles I was intrested in anyway.

Nor me. I was going to put 4 Brothers in my Netflix Q; it was the only one that sounded like I'd like to watch, but not one I'd want to own. And perhaps Paramount just wasn't satisfied with encodings yet to send them to press.

But, as a very satisfied XA1 owner, I'm getting a little nervous about the future of HD DVD. It's the lack of available players that concerns me. Since the intital April release of 10-25k players (depending on which source you believe), there's been almost no new shipments. The XA1 can be found at some retailers, but the A1's just about impossible to find. The RCA HD DVD clone player was supposed to ship May 23 now seems to have disappeared. CircuitCity.com had the RCA as available on-line only shipping May 23; now it says available in-store only, but every zip code I tried said not available.

I dunno; so far this is looking less like a April 18 general release and more like an intial test run.
