Pandora is not officially supported on the HR-34, yet. The software for Pandora was recently released to a select few beta testers as part of DirecTV's Cutting Edge software. You should eventually get Pandora on the HR-34, but it could take a few months before we see it released to all HR-34's.

yah... pay NO attention to the directv press release from almost 3 months ago :

DIRECTV - DIRECTV and Pandora Create Ultimate In-Home Music Destination
http://www.satelliteguys.us/directv-forum/279219-directv-pandora-create-ultimate-home-music.html

DIRECTV customers nationwide with connected HD DVR's can now access Pandora at no additional cost by pushing the "Menu" button on their DIRECTV Remote Controls and selecting the ‘Extras' option.

At least Dish is honest enough to just say "soon" :)

You'd better get in touch with Directv marketing/website design

The statement on the site is not for the HR34, it's for the Whole Home DVR service which works with any HD-DVR.

is there an award for attempting to out-spin politicians and the way they parse/torture the definitions of the English language ??? From the HR34 web page: DIRECTV Home Media Center HD DVR - HMC HD DVR - DIRECTV

No other HD DVR in the industry comes close.
Introducing the revolutionary Home Media Center HD DVR. If you've ever wanted to put an end to recording conflicts and deleting your favorite shows to make room for new ones, here's the receiver you've been waiting for. The Home Media Center HD DVR

I dunno.. how many times do they need to say it before you at least admit the press release was (at a minimum) poorly worded (or possibly just plain wrong).

Poorly worded....yep! Agreed! But it's still referred to as a HMC

To answer the question, NO Pandora is NOT available on the HR34 at this time.

HR34 is built on an entirely different format than the HR20 series.
