panamsat 9 (PAS-9) in London ontario

Hey guys, i am all new to this game and i have been reading a lot about this lately. my question is how hard would it be to get panamsat 9 (PAS-9) intelsat 9, here in london ontario N6h 4r6. what about a 33" Dish??? any input would be appreciated. thanks in advance!!!

It shouldn't be too hard, I have picked it up with a 31" or 33" in Los Angeles California, the only problem is there is not much on that satellite that is free, what are you trying to receive?

Im trying to get as many spanish channels i can get but specially Caracol Tv, can you share your experience getting this sat please!!! thanx

Unfortunately most of the programing on PAS9 including Caracol Tv are encrypted and can not be picked up with FTA equipment.

Even if Caracol was not encrypted , you would need a Large C-band dish.

With a C-band dish you get the most Spanish Channels especially a stationary dish with Circular LNBF aimed at 40.5 west

With a 33 inch dish you can still get Hispasat @ 30.0 west , which includes channels from Argentina , Colombia , Cuba , and Spain , and add a motor and move slightly west to 43.0 west , and you will get a few channel from Mexico during the day and afternoon.

Not with a 33 inch dish .

But yes with a 6ft dish or larger .

Alot of channels from South America

Just make sure you have visibility of this satellite from your property.
