OTA & view recording w/o dish?

I have a 722 in my motorhome. When on the road I sometimes don't feel like setting up the tripod dish (bad weather, tired, etc). Can I watch OTA thru the receiver without the dish setup? If so, any special tricks to do it?

Also, can I watch recorded programs without the dish setup? I think I tried this once and couldn't get it to work--probably user error!

I'm not sure about the OTA but you can watch recordings without the receiver hooked up to the satellite.

I'm not sure if this will work, but when I get rain fade on my 622 I select DVR list then Guide and access my OTA channels to get around the lost sat signal pop up. Works for me, give it a shot.

Thank you. Sometimes I wonder how I made it thru that also.
The movie was pretty accurate except it didn't have the smells, which were awful.
I got to visit the movie set in Ca where they filmed the combat scenes. Met Mel Gibson, Sam Elliot & Randall Wallace (the director). I have the story and pics here: Movie
