OTA PQ when connected to 811

I have a Mits 65613 (5 Months old) with an integrated tuner which is connected to my OTA. Picture quality was great, after connecting it to the 811 the PQ went from great to not so great, it was quite noticeable. Two questions:
1-Is there something else I should be doing in order to get better PQ from the 811?
2-Should I be seeing HD if the OTA signals are being transmitted in Hd?

Note: After hooking the OTA to the 811, I programmed the guide in order to see these channels which are my locals.

His native format on the Mits is 1080I. He should check, as earleir stated, to be sure that he is outputting 1080I from the 811. He must also be certain that he is using component or DVI cabling to the TV.

One more thing, if he has a built-in tuner on the Mits, why not just use it if the picture was great. It's as simple as an input click on the remote.
