Hello, Just found this forum while I was sipping on some wine and searching Google for information on the Orion smoker, after reading a lot of the post I open Amazon and ordered one, can't wait to start cookin.
 
The Plan:
4 lbs Chicken Drumsticks


Rub:
2 Tsp. garlic powder
2 Tsp. onion powder
2 Tsp. Onion Flakes
2 Tsp. ground sage
1 Tsp. ground red pepper
1 Tsp. crushed red pepper
2 Tsp. black pepper
3 Tsp. brown sugar
3 Tsp. cane sugar
2 Tsp. seasoning salt
1 Tsp. sea salt
3 Tsp. Parsley flakes
2 Tsp. Italian seasoning
2 Tsp. Cumin
3 Tsp. Oregeno
1 Tsp. Lemon & Pepper
1 Tsp. Lime Salt

Applied Rub yesterday afternoon added Krafts Hickory Smoke BBQ Sauce & French's Mustard sparingly along with a couple of handfuls of BBQ Potato chips a couple hours later ...

Poured about 8oz. of Apple Juice / Apple Cider mix into drip pan...

All fit on bottom rack drum to the outside...

Chips used Apple / Cherry

Ignition Time 1:12

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone... I get to do another turkey!!!! Thanks for the feedback shadowhawk2020, I will stick with the oil and spice this time but if you wouldn't mind go ahead and post the brine and I can use it for Christmas.

Applied Rub yesterday afternoon then added French's Yellow Mustard & Krafts Smoke BBQ Sauce about noon to the mix...

Add Ribs to rib rack and sprinkle rub on...
Place the Chicken Breasts under the ribs on the lowest rack.

Marinate: 1/3 cup apple cider, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 of a 12/ oz Bud Ice, 2 tablespoons of rub mixed with Krafts Hickory Smoke BBQ Sauce & French's Yellow Mustard to each rack about 9:30 am this morning , along with several spoons of minced garlic...

Applied rub on wings about 23 hours ago, then added the mix of Mustard and BBQ sauce and shook well (in plastic bag)added more rub. Add Mustard, BBQ
Sauce, a little Syrup & 1 Tablespoon Minced garlic & shook / rolled around in plastic bag, added about 1/2 cup of flour with rub mixed in and mixed...

Placed wings on bottom & middle racks.

Used Mesquite / Cherry / Apple chips mix & 1 - 12 oz. Bud Ice in drip pan

Looks good. I'm anxious to fire up my smoker. Unfortunately it is buried by snow right now.

I bought a 4 lb. package of Pilgrims Pride Breaded Blazing Chicken Wings yesterday (never tried & they were out of regular wings, just had drumettes) and a Chicken.
Applied rub about noon to the Chicken.

Poured about 4 oz. of Apple Juice, 4 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar & 4 oz Coors into the drip pan.
Chips: Mesquite/Apple mix...
