Tonight for kicks I tried dish online chat to ask about HD upgrade options for an existing customer.
The good:
Was quoted $125 for a 722 with installation and that I need another dish. This is correct as I am pointed at 110 and 119 with a dish 500 and the price agrees with what I have read on here and at the web site.
The bad:
Rep insisted that my locals (South Bend) are available in HD. I know from this forum that they are uplinked at 61.5 but are not available to customers yet. I pointed this out, twice, and was told that they are. “I just check your account and see that locals in HD are available on your area.” Was the response on my second query.
Uh huh.
