The good:
I have the Winegard 31"/SG2100/Universal LNB up on the new pole, actually working! Hooray!
Now, the bad:
Quality is somewhat poor all the way around. Remember how 3ABN gave me 98% Quality at one point while setting up the dish? Well, now that it's set up 3ABN radio gives me max 82%, 65% Signal. And that's about 20%+ more quality than I see anywhere else. My favorite The Tube on G10, gives me 65% Signal, 35% Quality. As you can imagine, a slight rain and/or wind starts the picture breakup :
Here's another wacky symptom. Earlier today to prove to myself I had everything set up right, I mapped out Galaxy 13/Horizons 1, Galaxy 10R, SatMex 5, AMC 2, AMC 4, Telstar 5, Galaxy 3C, Telstar 6, Galaxy 11, AMC 3, AMC 5, & SBS 6. Yes, I was very happy The latter ones were a bit difficult, and now going back to there tonight the last four (Eastern sats) either are just barely there, flickering in and out, or can't be tuned in at all It seems like that side of my arc is out of whack somehow. I'm also curious if the whole thing is a bit screwy now, after Cascade told me how much more quality he gets on his similar setup for The Tube...
Any ideas? I'm nearly there, I'm sure I just need some kind of Expert Tweaking Advice...
TIA,
CharredPC
PS. I just realized it's 12:30am, and you know what that means; it's finally dark enough to take some pictures of my setup with my Photophobic camera!
Here it is, perched on top of the 10' pole:

Here's how it's secured (don't laugh... it's sturdy and I even used a level! I had to get this gear off that confused gent down the road who's finally decided that though I'm obviously insane, my money is still good, so he'll sell me anything I specifically pick out of his DSS store, lol)

Lest you think that I'm relying on those two side-brackets for total support, let me reassure you that the base of the pole is secured in a fixed position on the top of the shed See?

Now, one more shot of my Winegard jamming to some Tube

And lastly, somone asked ages ago for a pic of this little guy:
http://www.dwarchive.net/homemade.jpg
That's a homemade OTA TV antenna I made so the wife could have television in the bedroom. It accidentally works better than the big roof arial
Only becuase I made it very directional-based, and aimed it at Salt Lake City (North), where most of our signals come from. If anyone's interested in the "plans" for it, I'll doodle something up. I'm sure most everyone has the parts to build it!
EDITED to decrease obnoxiousness to dial-up users; my apologies Won't happen again.
