OK....the kool-aid has worn off....BENCH JaMarcus Russell!!

Are they stupid? For god sake....thats Oakland...people get *t there for saying that.
I guess his friend got balls.

"I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but it's come to my attention that he has been fined heavily already for being overweight and for being late to meetings," Esiason said, via Jerry McDonald of the Contra Costa Times. "And, he's already missed one meeting. I'm telling you right now, the other 52 guys on that roster are looking at Tom Cable. They're looking at Al Davis, and they're saying we deserve better than this.

"That's why every time he goes on the field, what's the quarterback's job -- to be the leader of the other men on the field with them; to inspire them to greater heights. Right now, he is holding them back. Even though there's not a great alternative, there has to be a change at quarterback, especially if he plays poorly today against a banged up Houston defense."

A fine mess for JaMarcus | ProFootballTalk.com

When asked whether Russell had indeed been fined and missed meetings, Cable said, "I'm not going to talk about our internal stuff that way."

I think the more that comes out about this the worse it makes the organization look, not Russell, who IMO is at rock bottom reputation-wise. If this is all true, how is he still starting other than having no faith in the backups?

NBC Sports - Pro Football Talk

Boomer Esiason of CBS recently lifted the lid on the problems with Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell. Esiason said on Sunday's The NFL Today that Russell has been "fined heavily" for showing up late for multiple meetings, being overweight, and missing one meeting.

A league source tells us that it's even worse.

Per the source, Russell has missed multiple meetings, and that he has missed multiple other activities. His behavior has been described to us as a "pattern not an aberration."

Man, they made the Raiders look pretty bad on Playbook.

Basically took a handful of plays, showed how players were not excuting what was called.

They line up, and its obvious what they should be doing, and then offensive line will just not even touch the biggest DT on the Texans.

Another was a play action and by the blocking it was clear it was a bootleg... but JaMarcus didnt roll out.

Another was like the first play of the 3rd quarter "2nd half adjustments right?" they said, then the center and right guard double team the DT and let a LB on the line of scrimmage run right by them.

This is a lot worse than the playcalling, and said you can this pretty much on every single play, people not on the same page or just not even executing the play that was called.

Again it's not just this guy! Put any guy in there and see what happens!

Hitachi....he is BAD, but ALOT of it is not his fault. The ENTIRE offensive line is the 2nd unit, the #1 pick...where IS he? Our #1 running back....out and ALSO hurt. Our LEGIT WR is STILL out due to injury and we have a boneheaded coach that keeps TRYING to throw when our best offense is running the ball.

...I do not blame the defense...they are DEAD tired because the offense does NOTHING....barely enough time to rest.

Wait what? How many points did you just give up in the first quarter? This is a bigger problem if you're claiming that's due to fatigue.

At a glance, Giants had a monster 8 minute opening drive, and then each of their drives in the 1st half were less than 2 minutes of game time long.

When you offense goes 3 and out on your 1st 4 possessions, fatigue ABSOLUTELY will play a role. It will lead bad tackling and players not playing at full speed....and even looking like they are quitting when a defense does not even get a chance to get a breath.

AT BEST Russell will be a backup QB in the NFL in 3 years, if that. Probably not even in the league IMO as most teams want an experienced backup

besides, what defense will want to even try when their offense won't do jack for sure! what really pisses me off is all the $$$ they paid QB fat neck to perform so poorly. like you said it's not all his fault but he's part of the problem. i'll keep placing most of the blame on the guy at the top.
