Only four days 'till my Big Prediction...

Well, I have decided to leave BCS politics alone until after the big game...and until the season has been played out. I don't like the BCS because someone usually gets the shaft, and I don't like the playoff system because football is not basketball. These kids are in college to get an education...not just play football every weekend.

Well, 48 of the 50 states pick Ohio State to win the Big Game in the latest ESPN Poll. The only states to disagree are Michigan (duh!) and Wyoming. Additionally, I hear that John Cooper has been named honorary "Coach of the Day" for the Buckeyes...by Michigan.

USC is the key to the BCS title matchup. I don't think Florida will get past the SEC title game.

If USC wins out, they're in.
If they lose to either Notre Dame or Cal, they're out.
If ND beats them, ND is in.
If they lose to Cal and beat ND, OSU and Michigan play twice, regardless of who wins Saturday.

What about Arkansas? They are currently are in the top 7 and still have to play LSU and possibly a SEC championship game. Those two games would sure bump them up in the rankings. It would still take a USC loss to be able to make this happen.

If Michigan beats OSU then I would hate to see ND make it to the title game. I personally don't think you should have to play a team that you beat in the championship.

It won't happen, but thats whare the idea came from.

Bukeyes lose and watch them end up at about #8, they always get dropped drastically whenever they lose.

It's losing this late in the season that would kill them....I don't think they would drop no lower than 4th...now if it's really close game...who knows what the polsters will do. But if they lose, they will drop to 3, at least that is MY thinking...IF Michicgan loses, they'll drop to 4 or 5. Again, can you honestly blame Rutgers for not deserving a title shot IF they go undefeated?? That is why this BCS system is SO bad....but the networks and the universities will never change that golden goose. I still think the 2 keys is Florida and Rutgers...if they win out...it could get really ugly.

Maybe that WHY they waited till this week, so it would get done without too much notice.
I liked Gallant, as a player, but I don't know if he wiill ever do much as a coach, maybe he can get a chance as something else in the hockey world.

FYI, He was one side of Steve Yzerman's FIRST Line Shift, thats right ...
He was a very good line mate and a star with the Rd Wings (in his time)

Michigan has lost 5 of their last 6 bowl games.

Do I even need to mention Jim Tressel's record vs. UM? Buckeyes are 4-1 under Tressel.
