You don't need the other Hopper there. You just have to do a series of button presses and it forgets the old Hopper so you can pair it to the new Hopper.

Did you unpair it first? If not it still thinks it's paired to your old Hopper.

I never unpaired from my HWS, it did not stop it from pairing to H3. The HWS was unplugged at the time, if that made a difference

Yep, saw that earlier and then couldn't find it again. Of course when I saw it I didn't think that the 40.0 was still paired.

Hold sat till all light up
Hold Recall and 0 for 3 secs
Press search
Press vol +
Press stop
Wait 5 secs for tone

one quick question on the 50 dollars for each joey 4k is that billed or must you pay installer?

My understanding is that mine were charged to my credit card on file which I use for auto pay.

The only thing I paid upfront for was the 4K Joey (everything else was N/C: H3, Hybrid EA LNBf, 4 hour Tech Visit) and was charged through the CC I have used for AutoPay.

Edit: I fired up the DishAnywhere app and I do not see the contents of the EHD I have hooked up (USB 3.0 2 TB drive! Yay!) like I was able to see on my ViP 722k with add-on Sling Adapter. Have I lost a feature?

Edit^2: The picture quality is far better than the external Sling adapter was capable of providing.

You go to DVR, Sources, and then to External HD. You can actually play from there. To actually transfer, either way, DVR, Options, Manage Recordings....

If you are using a 40 remote, press the red button to get to Options... 52 remote, as I said...

On the 4k Joey I hit the red button. A grid of TV viewing options pops up. Number 4 is picture in picture. Select it and it says not an active feature.

Ah, it's on a 4K Joey. That feature is not quite ready. It is coming....

I noticed while searching for shows to set times on my Joey that it showed all of its episodes that were coming up on the guide, that were available on VOD, that were on my DVR and were on my EHD. Very nice.
