Here we go again Dish Network supposed to send installer to Install Dish 500+ well no one showed up contacted Dish Network for the 2nd time about this problem and what do you know answer was "The work order was completed" when it was not this time i have requested lead tech.

Sorry i mean people who are Dish Network contractors.

dont forget that DISH is a huge bueracracy just like all big business these days. bar none. the idea is promise customers everything and pay workers nothing while piling on the work.

as a result there is huge turn over and low quality support. its a situation that can often attract workers with low morals and/or lack of empathy.

the situation varies in depth depending on where you are.

it very often happens that someone accidentally "closed" your work order, said opps, and moved on. 200 lines are ringing off the hook and the boss is yelling to pick up the pace.

thats modern life. call Dish again and get your order rebuilt. just be persistant and you'll get what you want.

as far as the tech 1st no show - paragraph one again applies.

sorry for your troubles.

I guess that I'm lucky to have a local E* retailer nearby that sells, installs and services his customers. I have always been able to have all my questions or problems resolved. Calling the E* customer line is good for billing questions, but forget reaching a CSR that is going to take personal interest in whats on my mind. ADVICE...try to locate a retailer that is eager to build his business by being a full service source. Sure worked for me...

You might also see if you can talk the Customer Service Center out of the number to the dispatch office that handles your area. Stay in contact with them during the day to see how things are going. As topcat mentioned, dish likes to really pile the jobs on their techs, so try not to be irritated with the tech or dispatcher if someone is running behind. Good luck, I hope things go well for you this time.

Well it's 3 times trying Dish Network to install Dish 500+ and no luck they ignored request to send lead tech so it will be for the 4th time.Every time they come out is for the work order not for the instillation or upgrade order.I should of just called The Dish Store with American support, but now it is too late.

Perhaps when you call tell Dish you are having issues with the local installer they keep sending and to please see when another from a different company is available?

I have Digital Dish out here in NE Ohio Massillon area and I have never had anything but awesome service all of the orders have been placed via Dish's 800 number. So im not so sure its dish so much as your local retail contractor....

Get used to it man. I have been without a 100% working dish now for a few months. I had 3 installers come out. First 2 refused to do the work, 3rd was a supervisor for the contractor company. All of them refused to do anything because the original installer screwed it up so bad, they don't want anything to do with it. I was supposed to have a Dish network installation supervisor call me about a month ago, never happened. I pretty much gave up and redneck'ed it to get at least 1/2 the tuners working, and set the receiver to single tuner mode. I will be moving in a few weeks so I didn't care too much about it. Dish's installers and customer service suck hands down. The people in India don't know crap, the account specialists don't care, and thier supervisors care less. If it wasn't for the great equipment, and having to buy 2 dishes and 4 receivers from Direct, I would be with Direct all the way.

I don't know if it's just me or not. . but when I had my appt...Dish called me and said tha tthe tech ws on his way, and then the tech called and said I am in traffic down the road but I am on the way. Now the problem didn't get taken care of that night but at least I wasn't left in the dark. Everytime I deal with Dish as to when someone has to come out there really isn't much of a problem and they are courteous to call me however I hear alot of horror stories!

it really depends on where you are and whats going on in the industry in that area.

When I have an issue with them, I usually threaten to switch to DirecTV or Comcast (even though I have no intention to) and then all of the sudden I become their top priority. Sometimes they act almost like they'll go out of business or something if I cancel Dish Network. It's funny, to say the least.

Sound Like A Good Deal??
