Looks good. Technically, well at least in my area putting a ground block or node in a crawl space is a mark off on a quality inspection. Doesn't make sense to me, but that being said looks like good work would've done the same. Glad your dish got concrete put in, that's a definite problem waiting to happen.
 
I wanted to put it in a closet in the house but didn't want the tech to have to rerun everything! Just happy it's fixed and I shouldn't have any problems out of it any time soon!

Didn't you say he did a GOOD job AND cleaned up the previous mess from BOTH Dish and Direct???

But at least it got resolved for you as that certainly was a mess.

Now the reason the cable was pulled up there were 2 lines coming from the dish. Had to run a third so all the line came up and that's how it was put back.

WOW that first after picture...that is just a wreck...I'd be ashamed and embarrassed to leave it like that..
 
That is why I learned to do all my own satellite installs and upgrades. I did my own install for the hopper and single node and also when I added a second hopper and dual node. MY installs don't look anything like that.

Should've went to the store after the install was over... just sayin'. Maybe I'm just naturally untrusting, but if I want it set up right then I always make sure to be there for the install. Sometimes simply being in their presence will get them to do it right, other times I just make simple suggestions.

I don't ask anything outrageous, just that they make sure the setup is done right the first time, and won't have potential longevity issues due to shortcuts. In other words, they're doing their job...

That being said... I realize the pressure that Dish puts stress on them to get things done as quickly as possible, so if the installer is a nice guy, I cut him some slack (within reason) and do whatever I feel needs to be done after the install, such as tidying up cables and whatnot. It's one thing to have a working, reliable setup, and another to have one that's up to my cosmetic standards.

I definitely wouldn't let him just lay a node on the ground of a crawlspace though. That goes back to the reliability issue.

I'm not saying anything to dish! He did say last time his wife was pregnant and yesterday he said his son was born last Friday. Don't want to get him in anymore trouble. I know he really needs his job now and don't wanna take any chances.

If that is true you would think that would be his incentive to do a better job. The customer on the next install he has probably won't be as forgiving as you.....

message DIRT and discuss it since there's little we can do to help at this point.

Definitely doesn't look as bad as before, but I wouldn't have even let the same tech back on my property in the first place.

My biggest issue this time is the cable not being buried and not attached to the pole

Honestly, I would bury it and attach it to the pole myself. As I wouldn't want to take time off work or on my days off to get a tech back out for that.

If you don't want to do that, call in (or contact dirt) to get an appointment set up for it. I would recommend staying home for the whole appointment and checking that you are satisfied with the work before signing the paperwork as well.
