Can you help me out? Our hopper worked fine last night. This am when we turn it on says acquiring signal. Will not advance. Tried to reset via button, tried to unplug for a few minutes, no luck. Did a check switch and it won't even recognize the node or dish, just shows all red x in the place. Weather is 70 and sunny. This install happened in Jan 2013 all new wire to the dish and hopper, as there has never been a dish here before. Tech left the node outside mounted to the pole of the dish.

I belive that is was resolved, but that could be the problem if this was one of the old nodes and not replaced before, so that is a possibility.
The newer Duo Node will have a black dot on the label. See this post for a pic :-

All three of my Duo Nodes are the old model, two from Dish and one I purchased. Could this be the cause of the low signal two of my Hoppers have from 118.7, xponder 1, tuner 3 that we chatted about in our PM? Both these Hoppers are attached to two different Duo Nodes. No issue with the other two Hoppers, all signal strengths are OK.

just having an older duo node isn't the issue. Node works just fine on newer LNBFs. Post 85 even posts the serial numbers of LNBFs that would contribute to the issue.

Can you bypass the node to get tv to the hopper for now? DIRT has someone coming to look at the setup on the 5/16, so will know for sure and post when I know what happened.
Yes you can, the third tuner will not get a signal without the node but tuner 1 and 2 will be OK.
The LNBF may be your problem:
The issue may be occurring if someone has an older model node and is using one of the following LNBFs that have the following serial number prefix markings identified by the 1st 6 characters of the serial number. (see attachement)

After two failed tech visits (no shows) a tech came today and replaced my node. Will see how it works.
