No video with Dish 322 receiver

Hi, first post... Yeah!!! Anyway, I purchased a 322 receiver on eBay "New in Box" but the receiver was not wrapped in its usual plastic when I got it and there was no manual. But what really bothers me is that when I plug in the receiver, no matter which tv out I use, or how I use them (Coax, Composite, S-video) I can't get anything to display on my tv (no menu's, guide, connection screen.... nothing). Is there anything or trick that I can try to test this receiver to make sure it is faulty before I work with the seller on a refund?

does it even power up? do any lights come on?

The TV 1 light is on, but I cannot turn it off with the remote. It is always on. The remote works as I can use it on my other 322 receiver.

you tried channel 3 and 4 on TV 1 and channels 60 air mode and 73 cable mode on TV ?

Sorry, I can't get to the receiver until tomorrow as it is in someone else's room and she is sleeping. But I know that I tried 3 and 4 from TV1.

it definitely sounds like shot receiver. if you tried all video sources unless it is a TV problem. you tried re setting box? and all other stuff.

I did the hold down power button restart, the unplug for several minutes restart, the leave plugged in the dish to satellite for 20 min to make sure that it wasn't just doing a boot recovery as recommended on the Dish Network Website:

"If you are doing an initial receiver installation, the receiver could be in "Boot Recovery" because of an interruption in the software download. Let the receiver sit plugged in with satellite signal for 20 minutes. If the receiver does not recover, contact us for additional assistance."

just want to clear it up you never had picture on TV from when you power it up? if that the case put it back in a box and send it back

no picture ever.... nothing.... I talked to a guy that installs these and he said that I should have at least seen the satellite connection screen, which I assumed, but didn't want to point fingers at the seller until I was positive that there was nothing I could do.

no problem. when you plugged the receiver in you should of seen screen that have acquiring signal test 0 of 5 or it takes you to sat. test screen. you got taking advantage off
