Completey agree, you cannot get upset about not getting a roku if you did not have amc to begin with.

I think you all have a misunderstanding, I have always had AMC until Dish dropped it. I have had the 200 package and only recently moved to the Welcome pack which also had AMC (but not in HD) so please do not say I did not have it to begin with.
thanks
you should have gotten a free roku then unless they are not being offered anymore?@Tampa8, @Mochuf, @Thechaz05

Someone bought one without wireless network in their home, someone bought one and their internet is too slow, someone bought one and didn't like the service.... All perfectly "safe" reasons if you end up with one of these refurbished pieces of hardware.BTW, anybody besides me wonder why they have so many refurbs?
do pay in advance customers qualify for the free Roku offer???
afaik,if you meet these requirements you will.
Sub to a package that has/had amc,ifc,we
You watched one or more of the shows on those channels and are now missing them
You have wifi internet
You do not already have a ps3 or roku,or other streaming device
you have a valid credit card to sign up with roku (no charges just to get activated)
Call this number 1-888-581-1972 ask for loyalty
Sadly, not entirely true...I met these "requirements" and was told initially by chat that I do not qualify. Then I called and was told "sure, no problem" but nothing came in the mail. One week later I called asking what happened and was flat out told "You don't qualify, only people who had 200 package and more qualified". So, No to the welcome pack people and (I assume) No to the HD only package people who had some of these channels or any other package that I do not know about that had these channels.
At this point I am just more annoyed at how dish handled this process than actually losing AMC.
