NL CENTRAL

And it wasn't just one inning, more like three, and it seemed like he pitched in every game.
Didn't he throw the final pitch in th '79 series? Seem to remember him stretching his long ass with his arms in the air as the rest of the team rushed and hugged him. Good times. :)

Seems so long ago. :(

REBUILDING SINCE 1992!

I hate that team, actually I hate them more than the Reds and Mets, but I still hate the Cubs the most.

Whats sad is that the Pirates should've been better by now. In 16 yrs. they couldnt have at least one friggin winning season??!! Bad ownership all around as everytime they get halfway decent players they trade them for nothing.

Cybok, why are you hatin' on my Mets for?

Yup. I think back to the teams with Kendall, Giles, etc. and how they would greet the rookies by saying "Welcome to hell!"

Just like Baltimore, when ownership sucks, there is nothing anyone can do. They use it as a tax write-off and won't admit the money they are actually making by being bad.

Peter O'Malley once broke down for me how it actually PAID to have a losing team. Granted, this was a few years back and things are different now, but it really showed things in a new perspective.

KCK, when Disney owed the Angels in the years prior to their 2002 title and their consistent excellence that followed, they were not known as a powerful team (that was they had the weird angel-themed uniforms that were appropriately dropped before winning it all).

Was it hard, knowing they weren't capable of matching up with the other teams in the AL West prior to getting it all together in '02?

Not until the arrival of Stoneman as GM and Big Mike as Skip did things really change all around. Yes, it was difficult because from Disney on down to the part-time stadium crew no one believed they were capable of being on par with the Dodgers. We were like the Clippers to the Lakers every year.

Now you know why Big Mike will be Skipper for life if he so chooses at the Big A!!!! He is truly beloved...damned squeeze plays and all.

After watching Edwin Encarnacion hit a grand salami to give the Reds a comeback lead over the Brew Crew last night, FSN Ohio did the unforgiveable!!!...

I'll let the Cincinnati Enquirer tell the story:

FSN apologizes for Reds error | Cincinnati Enquirer | Cincinnati.Com

This is just one reason why I have never decided not to go to a game just because it was on TV... (and I have worked in broadcasting for over 30 years!!!)...

UNTHINKABLE! However, with nitwits flipping switches and things on timers now it happens far too often. And the Reds fans need all they can get to cheer about these days. I totally understand any Reds fan being furious.

I was already in bed at the time it happened but I would have been pissed had I stayed up.

Was this just the HD feed? Doesn't FSN-OH have two separate channels? A 24-7 SD channel and a game only HD feed? Did it happen on both?

Hey, anyone who beats the hell out of the Yankees like the Angels do is ok with me!!:):up

I could say some negative things about the Reds but I wont. You would get like to get behind the Reds but when are they ever going to get over the hump? Will this be the year?

I hope so, but not looking for it this year.

Oh ye of little faith!!!...

I know it's early, and in spite of "Arm-Killer Baker", I like the Red's chances this year, at least for the Wild Card!!!...:p

Our pitching looks much improved, and if we can get the bats going, I think we can do some damage in the division!!!...too bad we can't get spotted a few games for having such an inept manager!!!...

Don't get me wrong, I am rooting the whole way, up til the day they are officially eliminated.
