I subscribe to CI and get 559 - NHLHD. Why does the guide never show any information, such as when NFL on the Fly is on?, or any of the Classic series? There is never any thing other than NHL Network - NHL Center Ice. This information does show on D*, as I saw at my sister's house this past weekend.

In addition, when trying to set a manual timer for 559 for some specific times, after finding out when certain Classic Series are on, it did not show 559 as a channel to choose from! I really hate having to record a 7 or 8 hour block, when it doesn't affect other timers, just to be able to see an hour or two of something I do want to watch! The worst part is when it's near the end of that 7 or 8 hour block!!!

The only time the guide shows anything on 559 is if there is an actual game in the next one or two days. Sometimes though it wouldn't even show in the guide until the day of the game, and sometimes not even until the game actually starts!!!

Bobinchico,

The normal NHL Network Channel assignment is 403, the 559 Channels assignment is a remap (for Center Ice Subs without the HD package) that shows little to no Guide Info. If you have NHL Network because of a Center Ice subscription and have the HD package you get Both. Instead of using 559 use 403.

559 didn't have any guide data when it first came on. This was great because if your team was on NHL Network's Live Game for that week you would NOT get blacked out if it was on your local RSN. Once Dish listed the games then both channels became subject to black out.
