NHL 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs

3rd period next, teams start the 3rd with a 4 on 4 situation.

Still huge first 5 minutes of the next period for both teams.
Also, wev'e seen that the Ducks have the ability to come back, Detroit needs to if they can, keep pressure on and stay aggressive and force the play in thier Offensive zone, not sit back and play D, like many Wings teams have done only to have the other team catch up because they stop moving the puck in the offensive zone.

I think the next goal will be HUGE, if the Ducks score, they will push hard like the last game to catch up and try to catch Detroit's young D with mistakes like the last game (although it wasn't the young ones that made a young error for the goal).

If the Wings score next and make it 4-1, by the half way mark it could get VERY UGLY the rest of the way.

Wow, very surprised wings made it through now some normal times and a rival with Chicago

I saw the game while laying in bed, but I didn't feel like posting since I was in-and-out of consciousness. Anyway, great win by the Wings! They are certainly at a disadvantage playing the hated-by-everyone Chicago team...but who knows, if Jimmy plays well, the vets step-up, and the youngsters continue to grind and have learned something from the past month...it can happen. Regardless, I will be watching. Go Wings!

P.S. no 2:00 AM idiocy since Chicago is in the Central Timezone. :) :) :) :) :)

Gotta go with both home teams: Boston and Washington.

Okay, why is the NHL/NBC broadcasting two Game 7s around the same time? Show Boston vs. Toronto at 7:00 PM ET and Caps vs. Rangers at 10:00 PM ET. Hell, you can jam Wings fans with a Sunday night 10:00 PM starting time vice moving the game to 4:30 PM, so why not move one of these games to 10:00 PM? No love for Wings fans! I will be so glad when they move to the Eastern Conference next year.

Upcoming Round 2 games this week:

Ottawa @ Pittsburgh: Tues 5/14 @ 7:30 PM ET
San Jose @ Los Angeles: Tues 5/14 @ 10:00 PM ET
Detroit @ Chicago: Weds 5/15 @ 8:00 PM ET

No announcement on who's broadcasting the games yet.
