This might be a little off topic, but why doesn't the NFL Ticket show preseason games? Is it due to local broadcasts, I know the 49ers are on CBS-5 in the BayArea, is that a big thing with it?

how does that work? can you go HD and still have no Base package? can you replace a box?

Yes, but I do pay extra 10 a month for HD during NFL Season , Yes but it envolves an Supervisor to add the box, because they have to add a base package to do the exchange and then manually remove the base station package and put back the service code for nflst only sub.

Never thought I'd see the MLB package ($228) cost more than the NFL package ($200).

I have a feeling they will be much tighter on NFL discounts this year with the new lower price. Some may get the 6 month $10/mo credit type thing, but I don't think you'll see the discounts $200+ like some did last year.

I have a feeling that the MLB package will also go down in price next year because it is half the price for more games on MLB.TV. I would not be surprised if they do the same by offering a $150 price for EI and a $250 price for EI plus MLB.TV. They already made the APP free this year when it used to cost $15 for each APP.

So since Ive never ordered ST, when should I look at doing so? I'll prob just take the plan where it's spread out over a few bills.

You can add it anytime you want to start paying the 5 monthly installments. I doubt you would get any lower than the $199, it is a much better price than previous years.

I dont like the fact that Red Zone isnt included in the 200 dollar package. You should get that automatically irregardless of what version your on, 200 or 300. After all you can get redzone (the NFL Network Version) for alot cheaper on most providers.

I agree with you there, I will most likely pay for the $199 package, but would like Redzone.

That said, they would have a hard time selling a $100 add-on without something extra like Redzone. The shortcuts won't do it for most, and the mobile viewing sold previously for a $50 add-on. I don't know how much success they had selling the $50 add-on, but I do know they offered it free frequently.

I think the $199 will get more subscribers, significantly more. I don't know that they will get a big percentage paying the $100 add-on, but I can see why they want the option to upsell with a $199 entry price.

So, I would like Redzone for my $199 NFLST, but I completely understand the business end of it and why the need an upsell option.

Honestly, I think I'm good with it - given how aggressive they were with the $199 price.

So the new customer offer is basically the discounts they are offering now, and you get the ST for free the first year? That sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I can't wait for July when my Dish contract runs out.

I'm sure they will still discount it to the people who threaten to leave or talked into getting the ST, To go, and red zone all for $200. I'm pretty sure all the same tricks can be used again this year like past years. If not then $200 is a fair and reasonable price.

I think for some people the 299.95 package is high, because some don't use the To-Go but only want the RedZone channel, and I'm sure people will be able to get redzone added to the 199.95 package for little to no money.

I went with the 299.95 package because it suits me best.
