NFL Reinstates Michael Vick

While I agree that what Vick did was horrible, I have this to say.

Other players have been involved in incidents that involved humans dying (Donte Stallworth, Leonard Little) or paralyzed (Pacman Jones), and I don't remember much outrage over their actions.

It's amazing- some people barely blink an eye when a human gets killed, yet when dogs get killed, everyone wants to send them to the electric chair.

Dogs can be replaced- humans CAN'T.

WOW! The voice of reason....too see/saw the hypocrisy.

:up i also love animals but you can never compare the life of a human to an animal's. there's a reason why we call some criminals or human trash "animals".

i haven't heard this either

I said that if the dogs saw someone being aggressive towards them, they might have a fighting chance....AND that the innocent victims of a DUI never saw their death coming.

...I have NO CLUE where she got HER statement confused with what I said...NO WHERE in my statement does it say "they should have fought back".....

....but then again, for a brief moment, I forgot who said it....then I realized it and it is typical of her putting words in peoples mouthes or lack of reading comprehension on her part....:haha:haha

Basically. What Vick did was premediatated. What Stallworth did was just reckless. He didn't mean to kill that guy. Now doing reckless things that harm others is a crime, so Stallworth is guilty, but it's not the same as doing something that's just straight out cold blooded.

B......... I...........N.........G..........O......... and BINGO was his NAME-O!!!!

That's all fine and dandy, but some of the dogs had their teeth knocked out with a hammer, eliminating their chances of having any sort of "fighting chance". That Vick is one sick SOB.

And I agree 100% with EVERYTHING you said. But PLEASE FIND where I said "they should have fought back" or WHERE does it even SOUND LIKE it says "they should/could of fought back".....

And can you see why I get SO pist with what she is IMPLYING.....??!!

60 Minutes: Thoughts

I saw the 60 Minutes interview. He said all the right things. However, I'm sure he was coached on what to say by his many advisors and high priced PR staff. With that said, I got the feeling that he is NOT 100% remorseful. He just regrets getting caught, that's it. Big difference.

I mean, how could he be? These sick, twisted actions were going on for 6 years! When he was caught, he lied through his teeth about these actions until his "friends" finally ratted him out.

It's one thing to make a single isolated mistake, but to do the same cruel, gruesome acts that he carried on for 6 years?! That's insanity. That's a sick SOB!

I dunno. That's what Sandra said. Take it up with her. I did quote you saying "fighting chance" though. That's kinda similar, right? :)

Yes, that's it. Fighting chance. Thanks HD. Like the dogs who were ritually and sadistically tortured really had a 'fighting chance'.

Do you REALLY expect someone NOT pissed he got caught??!! Honestly, can you answer that? And you do not think Stallworth was coached by HIS agent and PR group when he met Goodell...and the next time he does a nationally televised interview....HE will not be coached?!

I think he regrets getting caught...and putting himself in that sitution...and letting himself get influenced by the wrong people.

Oh, I'm certain he regrets getting caught. That's not going to help people forgive him though. I wanted to see remorse for what he did. He said he "cried about what he did to the dogs while in jail." Bull-Sh**!!!! He cried because he lost $137 million dollars and got locked up! He wasn't sad about what he did!

What would be the harm if Vick just came out and said:

'Listen, I did what I did to the dogs, and I enjoyed what I did to the dogs. Of course I enjoyed it. If I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't have done it for six years. But I've paid my debt, two years in federal prison is no joke, and I've lost everything. I'm not sorry I tortured and killed the dogs, but I am sorry I got caught. The US courts say I can go back to work, the NFL says I can play again, so I really don't care what people think of me. I just want to play football and I thank the Eagles for giving me that chance.'

Who knows, perhaps Vick doesn't feel like that...but perhaps he does. And if he does, what would be the harm of just saying that...telling the truth?

Have you EVER spent time in jail? I have heard it makes you think BIG TIME. Now, I am sure it does not mean jack to a lifetime criminal to try to figure out how he f***ed up....but for someone who had EVERYTHING at the palm of his hands. Makes ya think big time. How do you know he is not remorseful...all you see is dollar signs.....

Nobody knows if Vick is remorseful or not.

Ok, well set us straight. Define "fighting chance" and what you mean by that?

read post 197 AGAIN PLEASE....

Hell, I would say at least the dogs had a better fighting chance if they saw someone being aggressive towards them. Those killed in the DUI never saw it coming.:rant::rant:

THERE IS MY EXACT QUOTE.....

WHERE IN THERE does it say, "the dogs should have fought back...." WHERE?
WHERE DOES IT IMPLY, that the dogs "SHOULD HAVE fought back"? WHERE?

I already said you talked about the dogs having a fighting chance. You can infer anything you like from that.
