NFL moving the Pro Bowl to the open week before the Super Bowl ...

You actually watch that game? It's a joke! Players phoning it in, waiting to go to the clubs and the, ugh, .... clubs, trying not to get hurt. :D (sorry but I love "call-back" jokes).

C'mon now the MLB all-star game is the only one worth watching. At least they're trying and actually playing for something.

Yeah, but usually they only have one Pirate in the game, now with Bay gone, no one will start.

MIAMI -- The Pro Bowl will be played one week before the Super Bowl in 2010 and both games will be staged in Dolphin Stadium, a person directly involved in the decision told The Associated Press on Monday.

Wow, I hope that's a trial balloon and the league will see the opinions of fans and hopefully the players.

Bud-Selig-Bonehead'itis seems to have struck Goodell once again.

If anything, play the Pro Bowl the week after the Super Bowl at the Super Bowl venue (no long flights to hawaii, no SB participants running the risk of getting hurt before the big game). A lot of pro bowl'ers may already be in the super bowl town anyway to watch the game if they aren't participating, so they can just stay another week to play in the pro bowl or fly back the next weekend to play in the pro bowl.

the players that are going to the superbowl that were selected to the probowl will not play. they will not risk getting injured before the biggest games of their careers. this is one of the dumbest moves by the NFL.
I agree. That's got to be the stupidest move yet.

I might be in the minority but I love this move. I would think the winners of the super bowl would rather be doing other things to celebrate than playing in another game. I am sure the losers of the super bowl have no desire to play another game after that loss. This makes sense to me.

I know this will be the unpopular thing to do, but I would like to see the fans vote eliminated. Too many computer stuffers, and uneducated fans voting.

All-Star Games in other sports are also picked by how famous they are, yet nobody knocks the NHL, NBA, and MLB All-Star games?

I'll knock all of them ... :D
Don't care for any of them, players that are having the best years often don't get selected, sometime it's a popularity contest, but there are players that ARE the best on the teams as well.

The NHL and NBA don't play the game they would normally, the NHL is an offensive shoot out as is the NBA, neither league plays any defense.
The NHL there normally is NO hitting, thats not the way the real game is.
Out of all the games, I like the MLB on the best, but feel that putting the WS tied into it for home field advantage is a dumb thing.
The teams with the BEST record should always have home field, period.

The NFL is after the season as it should be IF your going to have one.
Personally, I could care less, just have a banquet and hand out the awards... None of the payers WANT to play in it anyways.
Taking it from Hawaii makes it all the more useless.

I agree too. The only good thing about the Pro Bowl is that they don't have a quota system like MLB does so that every team is represented. Can you imagine if they HAD to pick someone from the Lions?

ProBowl is Stupid and pointless. The Players aren't even picked by how good they are , They are picked by famous they are.

100% right about that. tell me why else brett favre is going to the probowl instead of lets say chad p.
