NFL 2018-2019 Season

What next, you can't be with in 5 yards of your teammate on kickoffs, thruout the play ....

I notice you now only have 3 players allowed deep ...
Have they changed any of the Punt rules yet ?

I guess you could make an argument for the NFC North having the overall best Quarterbacks in the NFL but to rank the NFC West above the NFC South seems way off IMO. North you can say Rogers is the best, hard to argue that but let's compare.

You can make the argument that Bree's and Ryan are in the same class as Rogers or at least close. Is Stafford as good as with of them two? I would argue no. Is Cousins better than Cam Newton? A toss up I guess but Cam does so much more. Is Trubisky better than Winston? I would argue no.

NFC West has three QB's that have little experience and the only one who would compare to the top tier in either conference is Wilson. But, maybe I am simply biased.

Ranking divisions by quarterback: NFC North, NFC West top list

I think I would put Stafford behind Rodgers and Brees and probably right behind or next to Ryan ... just not really all that impressed with Ryan. Ya he's good, but is he BETTER than any of the ones mentioned above.

Can AP be rejuvenated for the Redskins this season? No
Who will be the leading receiver, either a TE, WR, or Back for the Pats? RB, Gronk will probably get injured.
Will the Vikings be better than last year with a new QB? Yes, if Cook comes back healthy
Will the Eagles win the NFC East? Yes
Are the Rams going to lead the NFL and maybe have the best defense since the 1985 Bears? YES, if they sign Donald.
Will the NFC South have more than two teams make the playoffs this season? No, just two
Will Denver be the best defense in the AFC or will that be Jacksonville? Yes, Denver will have the best defense in the AFC
Will Mack be a Raider come week one? NO
Will this be Brady's last year? Yes
Best rookie QB this year? Mayfield

Matt Ryan will lead the NFL in TD's this season and Flaco will have a great season this year with Brown and Rookie Moore.

I have not and do not understand the Raiders on how this Mack trade has come about and puzzled on how Gruden has handled this entire issue, if reports are true and they have not talked since he was hired.

I guess if you get multiple first rounder, save 20 million a year, you will set yourself up for possible success a few years down the road but.... Curious on what the trade actually involves.

Sources: Bears agree to trade for Raiders' Mack

Raiders and Mack never came close on money I'm sure.

On the Ejection Standards part, is this the same for a RB ?
It should be.

I think the helmet rule is pretty dumb and most of the time it is due to a runner lowering his helmet and in that split second, how do you penalize a defensive player not being able to adjust?

lol.

Oakland lining up lawsuit against Raiders, so team threatens to leave town early

They don't have a lease currently for next year, so presumably if the city files a lawsuit they're less likely to stick around. That'd be pushing them out, not them leaving early. Semantics, but that will play a big role in this because I think it will center around 'good faith' negotiation w/ Oakland prior / while they made a deal with Vegas.

While I know that it's not ideal, could the Raiders play at Sam Boyd Stadium until the new stadium is completed? Look at the Chargers at that very small stadium that they're playing in.

Cleveland should have won that game but they Clevelanded it up.

Biggest surprise? How bad the Saints defense was against Fitzpatrick.

Like a raindrop in the ocean but as of right now I'm done with the NFL. Anyone who watched the Packers-Vikings game will understand. Clay Matthews is in the process of taking down Cousins with his right arm wrapped around Cousins waist, a tackle that causes a bad throw that was intercepted by the Packers. That INT would have sealed the win but a stupid official threw the flag and called a roughing-the-passer penalty that gave the ball back to the Vikings who went on the tie the game and send it to overtime. It's become flag football and that's not my sport. That's only one example from this game, there were several others. Rules changes have ruined the game and I can't watch it anymore so after 58 years of watching and being a fan I'm done.

I saw the same thing the refs saw. Mathews drove Cousins into the ground with all his weight and momentum. You can't do that anymore.

I don't entirely agree with the flag but don't blame them for throwing it, it looked worse than it was which is why it was thrown IMO.

Both teams subsequently had a number of chances to win the game, a deserving draw.

As I have said before, it isn't the outside things that make the NFL less enjoyable but the horrible officiating and since few starters play in pre-season, serious injuries are becoming more frequent it seems. But the new rules and officiating are ridiculous.
