Psssttt... tampering !
In Pats related news, it seems D. Freeney, A. Wilson and J. Abraham are visiting the Pats today...

Cheers, K

Err, how was any of the SJax stuff tampering?

He didn't even meet the required stats to void his contract and the team allowed him to so they could go another direction.

The only thing "out of whack" in this article is "horse-face."

You just do that John Elway,CUT Elvis Dumervil,he'll be picked up by another team so fast you won't even know what hit you. I am SO trying to understand the "economics" of this article, but Dumervil is one of THE most integral parts of your defense(Mr. Elway),& I'd go so far to say that he has earned every penny of his contract. For Elway to both diss Dumervil & threaten to cut him if he doesn't take a pay cut is so ludicrous. Maybe he SHOULDN'T have signed Wes Welker if he wanted to SAVE MONEY. This kind of thinking is why the Broncos couldn't win any Super Bowls they played in during the 80's. They just kept drafting Wide Receiver after Wide Receiver & neglected upgrading their defense & beefing up their offensive line. How far did the "Three Amigos" get you in the play-offs then,Mr. Elway?

Suddenly voids his contract and then suddenly signs with a possible Super Bowl contender out of nowhere... When players do it, it not called tampering...it's called "talking amongst your buddies"... When GMs or owners do it, it's tampering. The ONLY difference between the two is who is talking. I have nothing against it because anyone who think players don't do in ANY professional sport... you're crazy.

...and it got Lebron, Wade and Bosh here... so like I said, nothing wrong with it. But don't pretend it does no happen.

My Raiders will GLADLY take him.:D

Dolphins sign TE Dustin Keller

he may turn out to be better than fasano if he stays healthy. my main guy is waiting in the draft to be our #1 TE. at least the contract is only for a season so if it doesn't work out it's not a huge loss.

There wasn't anything sudden though, they agreed to let him void his contract despite not hitting the incentives that would have allowed him to do it... in October. It was just official last week. Then he visited the Packers and signed with the Falcons.

So your saying his contract as voided... in October? When he played all 16 games?

Dumb move by the Rams letting Jackson go unless Fisher has something up his sleeve in Free Agency ot the Draft ;) :)

Dumervil agreed to reduce his salary $4m but he and/or his agent missed the deadline to get his signature to Denver so he was released, making Denver absorb almost $5m in dead money.

They faxed it over 7 minuets late. That 7 minutes will cost Denver cap space and Dumervil millions because he isn't going to make 8m from anyone next season.

If they didn't release him then his $12m salary would have become guaranteed.

Seems suspicious to me.I'm sure both Dumervil and his agent knew exactly when the deadline was.Maybe it was his way to say poop on you Elway.

IMO this was a major gaffe on the part of Elway & the Broncos.I don't think that Elway has any concept of the importance of having a good defense. Last year the Broncos defense was Von Miller,Elvis Dumervill,& 9 walking stiffs(& that would INCLUDE Champ Bailey). If this blows up in the Broncos' face,John Elway will be tarred, feathered,& run out of town on a rail. If I was Dumervill, the Broncos & Elway would be the LAST time I'd talk to about signing/resigning with. you can talk about saving money, cap space, etc. all you want, but if Elway has created a hole in the Bronco's defense that cannot be filled after cutting Dumervill, the Broncos' fans will not be so forgiving, especially if Wes Welker turns out to be a flop.
