I guess it's a good idea to hire someone within the staff to keep some consistency going. i agree with what you said on who they should promote to where. would they lose tom cable if martindale became the head coach or do you think he'll stay in the raider coaching staff?

Tom Cable might leave...and if they didn't give him the job, I would not blame him either. He DESERVES a shot....alot more than anyone else.

Some random thoughts from a "Dazed" fan.

#1 - I'll pay money anytime to watch Fitzgerald or Palamalou play. Maybe the 2 most exciting players in the game today.

#2 - If you told me at the beginning of the season that the Card's would in the SB, I would have laughed in your face. Hell I thought SabresRule was crazy when he picked them.

#3 - Miami, Atlanta, Arizona - all in the playoffs this season. And where are the Lions?

#4 - Seriously, where are the Lions? No sign of a professional football franchise here in Detroit.

#5 - I have absolutely no faith in the Lion's management to make the right picks this coming draft. Arguably the most important draft in the team's history, and they're trusting a Millen Error lackey to make the picks? God help Lion's fans.

#6 - That hit on McGahee sounded like a car crash. I was working on the NY Times crossword when I HEARD the hit. I thought there was a crash at the street corner at first. Perfectly legal hit in my book. These things happen in football.

#7 - Dick Lebeau is still not in the HOF? The guy was only one of the best DB's in NFL history, and now one of the brightest minds in defense. This needs to be corrected. Oddly enough he is an ex-Lion. He'll find a way to do what everybody else hasn't been able to do - shut down Fitzgerald.

#8 - GO STEELERS!

You heard it here first........ Next year, the Lions, Browns and Saints will all be in the playoffs. Laughing? If I would've said Miami, Atlanta and Arizona would've made it before this season started you would've laughed too. Parody=NFL.

I like Palamalou, he actually wraps up when he tackles, must of learned that at USC.

Fitz is just awesome.

Still under the control of the Ford family.

About 3 years ago, I decided to pick a send favorite team, it has helped me through the dark Lions seasons.

I thought it was dirty. What ever happened to tackling, that is why I like guy like Sanders, Wilson, Palamalou they tackle, not keep there arms to the side and launch.

Go Cards Tomlin rubs me the wrong way.

You do realize there are a total of three one thousand plus yard receivers on the Cardinals, right?
The Three G's!
Shut down one another will show up.
Too many weapons.

Go Cards

So they stop the pass and see if they can run .....:D
Not gonna happen ....

Warner starts getting hit, he'll fold.

There is NO WAY the Steelers can cover Fitzgerald with single coverage. That would me Palomalu would have to help in the double coverage making HIM less effective to do his thing. ALSO, that would mean SINGLE COVERAGE for Anquan Boldin.....this is gonna be a EXTREMELY tough assignment defensively for the Steelers.

Ryan Clark.

The Steelers will probably do what they did against the Pigeons, they will rush 4, then everyone else will play back.

Cover two comes to mind.
