NFL 2008-09 Season

Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson are 2 of the best receivers in the game. Yet both teams still struggle at the QB position.

I feel bad for Calvin.

Personally, I thought/wished he had been drafted by Tampa (I had him going to the Bucs two years ago). Imagine how he'd do with a REAL quarterback like the Bucs have!

6. Tampa Bay is the NFL's biggest overachievers. That defense somehow is still in vintage form, they don't lose at home, and they have, IMO, a slightly overrated QB in Jeff Garcia. They win in spite of Mr. I'm-married-to-a-Playboy-Playmate, not because of him.

A change of heart on Mr. DeCesare?

I was here , want to see. Some of us just can't keep coming up with excuses every week. Its funny watching you try though.

No excuses....I have stated from day one that the team was not playoff bound. You have to be decent to come up with excuses. My team is not. They are not good because the don't have the weapons to be good. YOUR team has weapons, but they are just average with no light at the end of the tunnel.

I wanted the Raiders to take Jay Cutler the year before and Calvin Johnson over JaMarcus. They would have Calvin Johnson AND McFadden with a Cutler with a 2nd year under his belt. THAT would have been the start of something similar to Manning, James and Harrison.

I doubt that he's feeling too sorry, especially on payday. He'll escape Detroit someday, just like everybody else with talent around here has.

salsa i got so pissed yesterday at the raiders!! i was real confident that they would win that game against the chiefs or the chefs.talking about wr's i could really see the void that camarillo left in the offense yesterday for the fins. even though he's not a super wr he does run all of his routes very well and puts the extra effort. ted ginn jr. has really turned out to be a bust especially when you consider where he was drafted.he has a real bad habit of dropping balls. by the way if the eagles don't want mcnabb i'll gladly take him down here. it's a long shot but i wouldn't hesitate even though chad has done a good job for us here in miami.

I was not pist at the Raiders, the team tried. I was pist at the lack of preparation, and THAT falls on the coaching. The kid in KC has played well enough to earn the starting QB spot and the coaching staff has tweaked the offense centered around his abilities.....they have made adjustments. The guy rushed for over 1600 yards and passed for over 6500 in college, he ain't that bad.
The last few games, he has shown his abilities....but did the Raiders coaches adjust to this from the last time they played the Chiefs....NNNOOOOOOO!!!
5 or 6 times, the Raiders have them 3rd and ATLEAST 10 yards...and 5 or 6 times he scampered for ATLEAST the 1st down yardage and more. That is lack of preperation be that fat bastard Rob Ryan. No one else. We also had at least 4 dropped passes and we did have one over throw by Russell.

As far as Camarillo is concerned, I think he is what Wes Welker was when he was here in Miami....a VERY reliable receiver with good hand and NOT afraid to go up the middle. I LOVE that guy Camarillo! Ted Ginn was not very reliable as a WR at Ohio State, hell, I remember tOSU fans stated the same thing. The Gonzalez kid was alot better WR than gin was. The thing with Ginn is that he is fast. I think he has improved a TON comapred to last year. I wonder why??!!;)

Ginn Jr. never was a very good WR.
Never ran very good routes, his claim to the NFL was the ability to run by people in college and a very good kick returner.

That Jags/Texans game was one of the most boring games I've ever seen on 'Monday Night.'

At least next Monday's game will be more meaningful!

NFL suspends Vikings' Pat and Kevin Williams for four games

kare11.com | Twin Cities, MN | NFL suspends Vikings' Pat and Kevin Williams for four games

The NFL on Tuesday suspended the "Williams Wall," Minnesota's two All-Pro defensive tackles, for four games, effective Sunday.

Kevin and Pat Williams both tested positive for a substance banned by the NFL.

Four other NFL players were also suspended. They include Charles Grant, Deuce McAllister, and Will Smith of the Saints, and Bryan Pittman of Houston.

The players all tested positive for a substance banned by the NFL, because it's often used as a masking agent for steroids.

The substance, bumetanide, was contained in diet pills called Star Caps, taken by both Kevin and Pat Williams.

Burress Done for the Year

The [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nyg"]New York Giants News, Schedule, Players, Stats, Video - NFL - ESPN[/ame] fined and suspended Burress on Tuesday for four games -- the rest of the regular season -- after he accidentally shot himself in the right thigh over the weekend at a Manhattan nightclub. The team also placed him on the reserve non-football injury list, which means the wide receiver couldn't come back for the playoffs, either.

Is this the last time we see Plax in a Giant uniform?

2002 Dodge Ram 1500, 4x4, quad cab. 58,000 miles on it, and I will drive it into the ground. My next truck (in 10 yrs.) will probably be a Ford, (nothing but trouble with every GM I've owned) because I seriously doubt Chrysler will still be around then.

Some amateur tried to steal my truck Tuesday in the AM. Busted the ignition, and the steering column. Didn't get the truck, because I have a remote starter that disables the entire electrical system. Funny thing was, that the idiot left all my plumbing tools in the back seat. Even funnier was that I have a club, and he hadn't even removed that. Bad thing for me is that I don't have any insurance to cover the damage. Work has been slow, and this idiot just made sure that it got slower for me.
