NFL 2008-09 Season

ok. so may i ask who you think might go to the big game in the NFC?

are you ignoring my question sabres? so far the giants are proving to be the best in the NFC but apparently you have someone else in mind. you don't want to share who you think is going to go further in the playoffs than the gmen?

I think he is just busy thinking up more derogatory names for them really. Like those names change the facts.

I was going to say 'Carolina,' but I'm not 100% confident after what I saw today against the Falcons.

I think that Dallas could finish the season strong like the Steelers did in 2005; Carolina can still bounce back; maybe one of the NFC North teams could finish strong.

Bottom line- there's an old phrase I hear in sports- what happens when a team gets punched in the mouth? How will they respond?

I want to see how the Giants respond when they figuratively get punched in the mouth.

I've had the same feeling about other 'best team in the congerence,' and some of them have faltered in the playoffs.

I'll wait and see what happens in the playoffs.

Let's see what happens when the Giants are the hunted; last year, they were the hunter.

ok i can respect that. :) for sure i'm not guaranteeing that the Gmen are going straight to the superbowl but they are making a strong case;)

Like they did against Pittsburgh? Or against the Ravens? Or the Eagles?

I thought when New England beat their big opponents last year, they were in the clear.

This year, I'm reserving judgment until the playoffs.

The Giants will be the hunted, not the hunter; let's see how that goes.

So far so good I would say.

:)

It would be nice if the Giants finished 18 and 1 - same record as the Pats did last year I think.

Solid win by the Giants. As for who will challenge the Giants? I say how bout them Cowboys! With Romo back Dallas is starting to get it together. TO went off on the 49ers today and Dallas hosts the pathetic Seagulls on Thanksgiving. There's still another Cowboys-Giants game to come. Remember last year the winner of the NFC East did not win it all. Maybe the roles will reverse this year.

how many yards did t.o. have today like 213 yds?

THIS is why I am reserving judgment on the Giants. I don't care if they win 13, 14 or 15 games in the regular season.

you could say the same thing about last years dallas cowboys. great record but couldn't get pass the 1st round of the playoffs after the wildcard games of course.
the difference is the giants actually took care of business last year and are doing it much the same this year in the same style so they should get there again but there are never any guarantees. ;)

anders, I don't know what to say about the Panthers after today.

THAT was a bad performance defensively.
Yeah. The less said the better. I thought this was a game they would lose and they did. Let's see how the Panthers respond next week in Green Bay.

Thoughts on the Late Sunday Games:

1. Yep, same old Cardinals....fun team to watch, but can't be taken seriously.

2. The Giants are the best team in the NFL, period.

3. Congrats to the Raiders, Coach Cable is still learning but may be a true Head Coach.

4. The Alouette's look to have the Grey Cup in control, but Calgary score a late TD...it's 13-10 Montreal in the Great White Dome at the half. :)

2. The Giants are the best team in the NFL, period.

They may be the best right now, but I am reserving all judgment until the playoffs.

The Giants WILL NOT MAKE THE SUPER BOWL!! I guarantee it!

I will not take them seriously until they prove it AGAIN in the playoffs!

Thank goodness my Bills annihilated the Chiefs, because nothing else has gone right;

Cardinals lose, Texas Tech loses... against teams I despise, no less!

Sabres how is it that you want to crown teams like the Cardinals and Texas Tech BEFORE they have done anything, yet the Giants who are the defending champions and have the best record in the league can't get an ounce of respect from you?

Sort of reminds me of a certain teams first 18 games last season.

Sour grapes I say.

And BTW, I don't think that the Giants TAPE OTHER TEAMS PRACTICE SESSIONS EITHER.

If you are going to make a nonsensical dig, please get it right it was defensive signals, not practices.
