Newbie very unhappy with dish dvr issue

Ok so I just got dish installed yesterday when I first called I made it very clear, I didn't want the hopper but I did want dvr the customer service rep even repeated it back to me. So last night as I'm getting frustrated because I can't figure out why my dvr isn't working I finally call dish and the girl informs me that I wasn't set up to get dvr it was never put in the work order. Now since the work order is closed her only solution to fix this issue is to have me upgrade to get the dvr which will add an additional two years to my 24 month agreement. Why should I have to agree to such a long committment I don't feel that I should have to do that to fix this it was the dish customer service rep who failed to put I wanted dvr on the work order so I feel dish should fix this. You know I may have stayed with dish for 4 years plus but their unwillingness to come up with a better solution has made me question if I made the right choice. If there is anyone who can help with this I would greatly appreciate it.
 
I think the originalnew customer commit is 2 years.Adding a DVR just restarts the 2 year commit and doesnt add an additional 2 years

Four year commitment? You got off easy, they usually require rights to your first born.
