Newbie needs Help" I AM IN THE DARK HERE"

confused: I am new at this. Just bought my fist system and want to do the install. I feel that I am in the DARK HERE! I bought a elliptical dish with a dual lnbs with a viewsat receiver.
I just installed the dish on the outside wall of my house. Do I have to flash first , what ever that means my receiver to start looking for the signal. I am confused but not beaten. First of all, your font is really big, and did it come with any type of instructions at all? Do you know which satelites youre trying to point to?

Sorry for the seize of font. Just new at this please inform me if font is OK this time.
the satellite I am tying to get will be 119 and 110 the dish is a multistar and the receiver is still in the box extreme viewsat. Hope this will help.
