none of them worked. I keep getting 70-80% signal but 0% quality and no channels or radio stations.

Do you have the dish and/or LNB skewed properly for your location?

I would put a circular lnb in first to help you find a satellite nearby. Try looking at 101w at a Directv transponder

set your lnb freq to 12200

that should be much easier to find

at the top of your dish set up page it should say directv videoguard or something like that when you have found it.

you will at least have a frame of reference. find that and you are just a wee bit to the right of where you want to be and a little off on the elevation. mARK THE POST and the dish mount with a sharpie to make a match line.

My first attempt took 6 hours on 2 different days
