Newbie 811 info needed

I am new to the HD satellite. I called a couple days ago and am going to lease a HD 811. I have read several post and seem like the more I read the more I dont understand. I have read were some gives advice to get the next HD reciever that is soon coming out. Just curious what the 811 want do that the next one

I currently get the 61.5, 110 and 119 satellites.
I get the locals thru my cable. I get the basic cable that comes with my internet.

Are you looking for a DVR?
The 811 is not a DVR, it's just a HD receiver.

Will the 811 let me 'squeeze' the HD output into a 4:3 frame on the SD output?

The resulting video would look stretched vertically on a 4:3 set (no letterboxing). Yes this is what I'm trying to do .
