Newbie: 322 Dials Out

Just got 322 over the weekend. I have no land based phone and have it connected to a VOIP (Packet8) terminal adapter via splitter. Phone test via Dish menu OK. Also no dial out pending. My question is on the inordinate number of times it dials out (30x + in the last hour) -- takes the line for less than 5 seconds. Phone log shows calls to 800-267-9084. Normal?

Ive read about this alot recently... wonder if it doesnt have something to do with a new software. Anyway ive Heard that if you reverse a DSL filter it will make a sucessful connection... aka plug the filter into the unit, line to voip port. Im not sure how well this works but ive heard of some limited sucess. and it works perfectly for TIVO.
