There seems to be some difference of opinion, so I thought I'd try to get a feel for what the majority thinks. Granted, not that many people have this yet, so it will be slow going.

Please only vote if you have a ViP722K and have used the new menu.

I like it for what it does and how it looks. But with the update came some sluggishness in overall operation of my 722k, and that I'm not happy about.

Try pulling the plug for a minute, then restarting.

this choice makes no sense. if it were true there would have been no reason to update in the first place. anyone who chooses it is confused.

I've done that a couple of times. Doesn't seem to make any difference. To be fair, it is just a little sluggish, no horrendously so. And certainly still much faster than the HR20s and HR21 I had when I was with D*. It would have to really do some serious slowing to get that bad.

Thanks for the suggestion.

This is one of the best improvements in a long time. It looks better and it functions MUCH better. It is far easier and intuitive to explore the TV content on the HDD (What used to be called TV Entertainment). And browsing DishOnLine is now efficient and even pleasant. With the ability to browse by channel service or any number of new filters, it now takes seconds to find TV episodes available for download. It used to take almost 10 minutes of slogging through pages of information.

However, there are always those who do not like change, and I'm sure there will be more to chime in on not liking the new interface. However, if one has ever used or does use the DishONLine service a fair amount of time, this is a magnificent enhancement. If you don't use the DishONLine that much, than you may find the upgrade not much of one. Now, if they can get it to my 722.
