Hi guys would appreciate some advice. Dish's new Voom content is enough to get me to switch.

I live in NYC so D* HD networks aren't that valuable since I get them OTA anyway. I have an HR10-250 and a Samsung 360. I will sell both on ebay. I want to get one 942 and one 811.

Other than the lack of one OTA tuner on the 942, are there any other drawbacks?

How much does the 942 and 811 cost to lease? Would you buy if you were me?

Will one Superdish work or do I need to have a superdish and another dish?

I used to be a E* subscriber before I switched to D*. Can I join E* again under my wife's maiden name and qualify for new sub deals?

THANKS for the input!!

I am fairly certain that your wife would need a different telephone number as well, as the phone numbers are linked to past accounts.

you could always use a cell number :D

I could get $875 for both my D* receivers on ebay.

I would buy a 811 for $200 and lease the 942 for $250.

I lose one OTA recording capability but gain speed in terms of a faster guide, 10 more HD Channels, and I get $425 back in my pocket! Why shouldnt I pull the trigger?

Is Dish worth it?
