I have a Sony 2 LNB dish that came with the house. Recently someone gave me a Hauppauge WinTV-Nova DVB card. I have connected one of the lines from the dish to the card. I then aimed the dish at what I believe to be AMC-6 @ 72W. I am at location:
Latitude: 33.0006°
Longitude: -96.9027°

If that matters. Using the in-line signal strength meter, I fine tuned the dish, and am getting a very strong signal.

I then scanned for channels using the hauppauge software, and it found nothing.

So I used ProgDVB, and it didn't find any channels, but it says I have 100% signal and 0% quality.

I am sure I am doing something wrong, or am missing some equipment, or don't have things set up properly.

Any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Sony dish? As in old DirecTV dish? Wrong LNB. Also probably too small of a dish, although with the right LNB and careful alignment you could get AMC-6 sometimes with an 18" dish.

Is there a sat that has a feed from the European BBC channels? Would like to get those, don't think I can aim the dish at any of the European sats. Please correct me if I am wrong.
