I'm still in a state of confusion. Lots of numbers rolling around. 11832/v/8148, 12010/v/13333 (4 feeds), 12109/v/15000 (2 feeds), 11832/v/8148, 11855/h/4999, 12086/v/7500. I'm thinking bigger dish. This monster primestar is heavy. I'm going to put up a pole about 7 feet above ground. The dish as it sits now is only a couple feet off the ground and might not be quite high enough as it points just barely over a tree. I really have no good line of site places unless I put up a pole. Any suggestions on a good dish?

You're on 91W, not 97W, if you're getting 4 channels on 12010 V 13333.
Thanx for cluing me in. Maybe Google Earth image alignment isn't the greatest way to plot the path.
You're right. I've got so many numbers rolling through my tired old brain. I wonder how many FTA channels are coming out of Galaxy 17. May be a better choice. Thanx for pointing it out.

Glad to see you're making good progress. Galaxy 19 has close to 200 channels, at least from this location. At one time I would get a tad over 200 but not so many these days.
Plunk down the cash and get yourself a 30 - 36 inch FTA dish. Not sure what the prices are these days for dishes but if you can, get a 36 or 39 inch. If you get a 30" dish and do well, you might get buyer's remorse for not getting the bigger one. That's what happened to me hi hi.
As for moving the dish higher on the pole I'd first get a dish for FTA, it might work at the level of your current one.

Well I finally managed Galaxy19. Lots of channels but I haven't got 42 different languages I know. I had better luck on Galaxy 17 but aren't much of a sports fan. What I was hoping for were some of the sub stations that come on OTA tv like THIS tv and others. I was led to believe most of these subs were coming down from a satellite and weren't encrypted. My only goal was to supplement my already 40 channels on my TV antennas. This little box does give me the ability to stream video over my network though. Maybe that's the direction to go. It's fun though. Maybe I'll just swing the dish around and hunt down what else is out their on FTA.
Almost ALL the Diginets (sub-channels) are on C-band. You need a much bigger dish for that. Cozi tv however, is on KU 103W satellite: 11760 H DVB-S2 8PSK 30000 FEC=5/6

In general, FTA is not where you'll find channels that are on OTA television, at least on Ku band. Some PBS stations can be found but they cavort to different satellites so you have to periodically scan. It's not a static environment and not a substitute for subscription satellite service or regular TV at least as far as the Ku band.
I managed to get some diginets on 97w and 101w with a 4ft dish. You might be able to do the same with a titanium c band lnb.
I understand that. That said, I ran across an article that said a C band lnb and a bigger dish will pick up unencrypted channels like the subs you get on OTA. There are far more of these than what I can pick up on my OTA antennas. I've got quite a few on my OTA antennas but nowhere near all of them.No prescription needed apparently. My understanding is these sub channels on OTA are not encrypted coming to the tv station. All you need is the right hardware.
Okay. Another dumb question. Can I use a c band lnbf on my receiver?

This gets better every post! What I was looking for were the diginets. According to the list, there are over 500 FTA feeds.. A lot of doubles but still a lot of stuff I can't pick up on my ota antennas. Got a guy who has an 8 foot dish. All I have to do is go pick it up. Impatiently awaiting my c band lnbf, but I'm still a little confused. I've found half a dozen sats so far. I can't figure out what all these numbers mean tho. For instance, when doing a scan what the numbers mean and what sat and channel they are on. By the time I've mulled through half a dozen FTA sites to figure what transponder or channel they're on. These numbers are greek to me. Is there a site that can tell me exactly what I'm watching by the numbers in the image I uploaded? For instance, when I do a blind scan, I find some channels are very weak. My assumption is these are actually other satellite feeds. Some numbers in the lower right start with 4 digits while others are 5 digits. I'm thinking the numbers in the lower right tell me what transponder it is in the 5 digits to the right.
