Server Issues. We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.
Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

It was removed yesterday. They probably made a mistake and spooled it to all receivers during the day and removed it after they found out their mistake here at Satelliteguys.us.

You're correct. They spooled by region one time before. The 1 at the end indicates they did it by region.

Is there a way to force the software update? I live in Raleigh area and the problem is terrible with ABC programming. I have even received a replacement 622 from Dish to resolve the problem, but I don't want to install that and lose all my recordings if a software upgrade will do the trick.
No. See smith p's post above. It was only released to certain regions. If your region was not targeted, you will not get it. Once engineering evaluates the update, they will either release it to all subs or they will go back and rework the update if it is found to cause problems.

Ok, another question for you. If I activate the replacement 622, will it automatically load the latest software when installed?
for a 622 you'll probably get L614 which is the current default software. When/if L615 or higher is targeted for the new receivers CAID (R00), and your region, you'll get it. You can NOT force the issue. You get what Dish wants you to get.
Per a recent tech chat, aren't we supposed to get an update that improves external hard drive functions (sort by folders, resolve Seagate issues)? Is this the one?
Based on what some folks have said, yes, it includes "folders" for the EHD (based on name, like on the main HDD).

Ok, I installed the replacement 622. But before I did so, I had an online chat with a DISH tech and she told me not to worry...when I installed the new receiver, it would automatically load the upgraded software. I asked if she was certain. She said that in 7 years, it always has, but she has learned never to say "always". Well, the updated software (L615) DID NOT load! I haven't recorded anything yet on ABC to see if the problem has been fixed, but burns me up that she told me it would load the updated software and it didn't!
It did. L6.14 is the current valid software version. L6.15 is not in the stream for your receiver or area.

The current software for 622 is L614 .
L615 was only spooled for a limited period of time to California, Missouri and Washington.
I don't require people to read the thread before posting, but I do require them to read the thread before complaining.
PS L615 will play back everything recorded with previous software versions without audio dropouts, so there is no need to hold off recording anything (such as on ABC and FOX).
