just got off the phone with voom, wanted to add the second rec. thought by ordering by the 31st there would be no charge for install, wrong....... they told me since i already have the service established that it would be 199.00 for them to come and install a second rec. so if anyone is thinking about adding another rec they had better order it the first time when they do the first install or they will charge you 199.00 to re-install a second rec.:(

I called them last night (Weds)... My install is this Friday...

I asked them if I could change my order from 1 reciever to 2 recievers...
After speaking to a supervisor, they said "Yes..."

They were NOT going to charge me $199 for the install...

I was like, "Sweet..."

UNTIL.... I found out that the extra box was going to cost me 9.95 for the box and a $5 Mirroring? fee.

$14.95 for an extra box!!! Are you kidding me?

After that, I said No thanks...

I only thought about doing it b/c I got worried that my wife would hog the damn TV watching Oxygen/We and sh*t...

Oh well, guess I will just have to lay the smack down when she's watching "Oprah- After the show..."

hehe :p

Wow... these 2 posts sum up quite nicely why people should read the Terms of Service, pricing plans, etc; Both of you could have saved angst and web space by a) Realizing that there are countless posts already on these very subjects, and b) understanding what you were agreeing to. If I seem a little unsympathetic, it's because... I am.

Yup some people should do some reading on Vooms' website. I am tired of hearing complaints due to uninformed customers. It is their responsiblity to educate themselves.
