I am now leaning towards just replacing my motherboard/processor in my built computer. This will save me money and still allow me to continue to upgrade my PC as time goes on

Decided to build and here is what I will be getting
Quad Core 3.5ghz AMD processor
6 outside USB 3.0 ports and 2 are eSata/USB combo ports
4 gigs of DDR3 ram
750 Watt case
Solid state Hard Drive (haven't decided on the size yet). I currently have a 500 gig Hard Drive and it is only 20% full. I do not store much on my computer
The rest I will be recycling from my old PC (DVD burner, video card, ex). I will take my old PC and use it as my main classroom desktop.

I didn't want to say anything but I am glad you decided not to go with the ssd's. Just don't hold up over time from what I have been told.

I have an old out of date laptop with an 80 gig drive. It never got close to being full. The most important stuff I put on data disks.......
GLAD you decided to build.. Its a better overall option and more satisfying.

I recently upgraded my PC using same Motherboard as OP, it does charge the i-Pad, even while being used, this did not happen with my old set up.

Got my new PC up and running. I forgot how long it takes for software install and updates. It only took me about an hour to put the hardware together, but took me several hours to download software, do updates, and transfer files from my old hard drive
The nice thins is the USB 2 and USB 3 drives which all put out 10+ Watts of power. I cannot believe how fast apps are transferred between my iPad and computer and the extra power allows my iPad to be charged while it is syncing
