New Locals

Does anyone have any word on D* adding additional SD local markets? I live in Erie, PA (16504) and just made the switch from E* to TWC. It is horrible. I can't stand their DVR. I would love to switch to D* but they don't have my locals and I am not eligable for distants.

Hoping that they may add us so that I can return to "Real" tv.

Can you possibly use an antenna to get them in the mean time? If you use the HR20 you can get them in HD and record them too.

DirecTV has added a few markets, but not many recently. They are targeting 150 local markets in HD by end of 2008, so there will be a ramp-up in the second half of the year since the D11 satellite has been launched.

If they do add the market in SD only, which is still an option, it may be after they free bandwith off of 110/119 upon moving HD channels, again, late 2008 or early 2009 as a best guess.
